Designating the Petty Officer 2nd Class Matthew G. Axelson Post Office Building

This law honors fallen Navy SEAL Matthew G. Axelson by renaming the Cupertino post office in his memory. Ro represents Axelson’s hometown of Cupertino in California.

Essential Workers Bill of Rights

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Ro worked with Senator Elizabeth Warren on a bill of rights to guarantee essential workers comprehensive health, safety, and compensation rights to essential workers. Parts of it were adopted and passed the House as part of the larger HEROES Act.

CHIPS and Science Act

Ro was a co-author of the CHIPS and Science law to invest billions in new semiconductor plants in Ohio, Arizona, and Michigan. Based on his Endless Frontier Act, it also creates tech hubs across the country to support research and innovation.

Inflation Reduction Act

This law makes a historic climate investment, creates 1.5 million jobs, reduces U.S. greenhouse gas emissions by 40%, and caps insulin costs at $35 for Medicare recipients. Ro was the key negotiator between progressives, Senator Manchin, and the White House to make it happen.

Police Exercising Absolute Care with Everyone (PEACE) Act

After Stephon Clark was shot in Sacramento, Ro introduced legislation requiring federal law enforcement to use force only as a last resort, with de-escalation techniques prioritized. This passed the House as part of the Justice in Policing Act following George Floyd's death.

The Quantum Computing Cybersecurity Preparedness Act
